To Whatever End
04:21
|
|||
After all these months moving into the east, I'm alone dressed in the garb of the White City. Sitting in vain, smoking the last of the pipe-weed. I've dedicated myself to the mad steward & this is what it has come to.
The loss of the world's light, but what can I do now?
But sit & wait for gold shores to take me.
I pretend you're here beside me while this castle is slowly crumbling.
& I wonder if somewhere out there you ride for the world's end, for ruin, for death.

Winter of 1959, February 2nd.
One week in hiking north. Stuck in a snowstorm.
I ran into the dark.

Corridor

North east Houston.
Streetlights blinking Morse code near the Eastex freeway. Quiet weeknight traffic eases through Texas heat. Around the corner from the grocery store, litter & broken bottles. A dead end street was witness to violence & wept.
Seven garbage bags full of dead & decomposing dogs. Covered in insects & mud, left to be found.
No names.
No tags.
Tortured! Tortured until their deaths.

Isolated Existence
03:44
|

Isolated existence. Self defeat. Self pity. Self destruction.
Words, looks, faces, flashing. Never ending. Nausea starts. Feel weak. Close my eyes, cease to exist.
Trembling & shaking. Screaming inside but it won't get out. Now I'm suffocating, paralyzed. Asking for the end. Losing hope. No control. Reality slips. Reality bends.
Drowning in sarcasm. Putting myself down. You don't see me. You don't realize.
Hold my breath. Scared to speak.
Destroy reality.
